| dc.description | Writing has become a popular activity of Indonesian people. They used
online media, such as Blogs and portal stories to post their writing. However,
the use of Blog as a media to introduce their writing to other internet users is
quite difficult because they used personal Blog where is one Blog address
only contain stories from one author which is the owner of the Blog. While
on professional websites such as portal stories, the readers did not charged
any fee so author will not get any royalty from them. While giving royalties
will increase the spirit and creativity of author to produce high quality
stories. Based on those things, I invented an web application called
PilihCerita. This web application provides to post and read stories as main
features, royalty distribution to the author, and several other additional
features. The problem formulation is how to design and create web
application PilihCerita using PHP, Adobe Flash, and MySQL technologies.
The purpose of this Final Project is an application web PilihCerita can run
appropriate to features offered. Modelling method that used for this Final
Project is aaccordance with SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle), which
include Requirements Gathering, Analysis and Design, Development, and
Testing. Result of this Final Project is to prove that web application
PilihCerita with features offered can be built using PHP, Adobe Flash, and

| dc.description.abstract | Tulis-menulis menjadi kegiatan yang banyak digemari masyarakat Indonesia.
Mereka memanfaatkan media online seperti Blog dan portal cerita untuk mem-
posting karya tulisnya. Namun penggunaan Blog sebagai media untuk
mengenalkan karya tulis kepada pengguna internet cukup sulit karena Blog
bersifat pribadi dimana satu alamat Blog hanya akan berisi kumpulan cerita dari
seorang penulis saja yang tak lain pemilik Blog itu sendiri. Sedangkan pada
website profesional seperti portal cerita, para pembaca tidak dipungut biaya sama
sekali sehingga penulis tidak mendapat keuntungan berupa royalti dari pembaca-
pembaca tersebut. Padahal pemberian royalti akan meningkatkan semangat dan
kreativitas penulis untuk menghasilkan cerita yang berkualitas. Berdasarkan hal-
hal tersebut, dibuatlah aplikasi web PilihCerita. Aplikasi web ini akan
menyediakan fitur utama posting dan baca cerita, fitur pembagian royalti
kepada penulis, dan beberap fitur tambahan lainnya. Perumusan masalahnya
adalah Bagaimana merancang dan membuat aplikasi web PilihCerita dengan
menggunakan teknologi PHP, Adobe Flash, dan MySQL. Tujuan Tugas Akhir ini
adalah aplikasi web PilihCerita dapat berjalan sesuai dengan fitur-fitur yang
ditawarkan. Metode pemodelan yang digunakan untuk penyusunan Tugas Akhir
ini sesuai dengan SDLC (Systems Development Life Cycle), yang meliputi
Requirement Gathering, Analysis and Design, Development, dan Testing. Hasil
Tugas Akhir ini adalah untuk membuktikan bahwa aplikasi web PilihCerita
