| dc.description | Lately, mobile devices usage is increasing significantly not only as a
communication devices but also as an entertainment devices and to help assist in
everyday works. Lot of applications that can be embedded and installed into a mobile
device. By this research, will be designed and constructed a weather forecast
information application that runs on an iPod Touch devices that has iOS4.0 operating
system. The problem that arises is how to make the application comply with the limits
given in iOS4.0. The major problem is the memory allocation restrictions that can be
used by each application. The methodology used is Object Oriented Software
Engineering. iPod Touch is a device developed by Apple Inc. iPod Touch has an operating
system that was also developed by Apple Inc. named IOS with the latest version iOS4.0.
Applications on iOS4.0 can easily be developed because it is open source with the
Application Programming Interface and SDK that is provided. IndoWeather, a weather
forecast information system will be installed via the AppStore provided by Apple Inc. as
a point of sale application for the iPod Touch. This application is designed and intended
specifically for users in Indonesia. The purpose of this thesis is the application can be

| dc.description.abstract | Akhir – akhir ini perangkat mobile semakin banyak digunakan oleh
masyarakat baik sebagai alat komunikasi, hiburan ataupun membantu dalam
kegiatan sehari – hari. Terdapat bermacam aplikasi yang dapat ditanamkan ke
dalam perangkat tersebut. Pada tugas akhir ini, akan dirancang serta dibangun
sebuah aplikasi prakiraan cuaca yang dapat berjalan secara mobile dan
dikembangkan pada perangkat iPod Touch yang memiliki operating system
iOS4.0. Masalah yang muncul adalah bagaimana membuat aplikasi tersebut sesuai
dengan batasan yang diberikan pada iOS4.0 yaitu masalah pembatasan alokasi
memori yang dapat dipergunakan oleh tiap aplikasi. Metodologi yang digunakan
adalah RPL (Rekayasa Perangkat Lunak) berorientasi objek. iPod Touch adalah
sebuah perangkat yang dikembangkan oleh Apple Inc. iPod Touch memiliki
sistem operasi yang juga dikembangkan oleh Apple Inc. yang bernama iOS
dengan versi terbaru iOS4.0. Aplikasi pada iOS4.0 dapat dengan mudah
dikembangkan karena bersifat open source dengan Application Programming
Interface dan SDK yang sudah disediakan. Aplikasi informasi prakiraan cuaca
IndoWeather akan dapat di-install melalui AppStore yang telah disediakan oleh
Apple Inc. sebagai tempat penjualan aplikasi untuk iPod Touch. Aplikasi ini
dirancang dan ditujukan khusus bagi pengguna di Indonesia. Tujuan dari tugas
akhir ini adalah aplikasi ini dapat diselesaikan dan dapat dioperasikan langsung
