| dc.description.abstract | Ectopic pregnancy is a condition in which a fertilized egg does not implant on the endometrial wall of the uterine cavity but attaches to a nearby area. This condition can be dangerous if not treated properly, as it may lead to severe bleeding and even death. The case discussed involves a 27-year-old woman presenting with right-sided abdominal pain who was diagnosed with an ectopic pregnancy. The patient had a history of Intrauterine Device (IUD) use and had never undergone Ante Natal Care. The typical management includes laparotomy and appropriate interventions to prevent complications. In this case, conservative surgery was performed as there were no signs of tubal rupture. Following the laparotomy, the patient was in stable condition with a satisfactory outcome. Thus, managing ectopic pregnancy through laparotomy and appropriate intervention can effectively reduce morbidity and mortality.
