| dc.description | Lately rife cases related to emotional intelligence , especially in domestic violence cases . Researchers assume , domestic dispute has to do with differences in emotional intelligence between men and women . In addition , since childhood , men and women have some differences such as differences in emotional expression , verbal , empathy , and others . The lecture , es pecially in the final semester of the gate to be an actual life . At this age , student developmental task is to build relationships or relationships . However , the differences between men and women since the small building different expectations in society . As a result , at the age classes , men and women have been formed in accordance with these expectations . Differences were awakened among other differences in the ability to communicate , expressing emotions , and empathy . Furthermore, the researchers wanted to know whether there are differences in emotional intelligence between men and women . This study titled Emotional Intelligence Differences between Male Students and Female Students of class of 2011 at the X University. The type of research is a comparative q uantitative research methods . This study aims to know is there any difference in emotional intelligence between male students and female students of class of 2011 at the X University. In this study , researchers took the hypothesis that there are differen ces in emotional intelligence between male students and female students . Analysis of the data in this study using independent sample t - test to determine the presence or absence of emotional intelligence differences between male students and female student s at the X University. The class of 2011 T - test results of the calculations show that there are differences in emotional intelligence between male students and female student class of 2011 at the X University with p - value below 0.005 . From these results it can be concluded that there are differences in emotional intelligence between male students and female students of class of 2011 at the X University. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Akhir-akhir ini marak terjadi kasus yang berhubungan dengan kecerdasan emosional, terutama kasus kekerasan pada rumah tangga. Peneliti berasumsi, perseteruan rumah tangga ada hubungannya dengan perbedaan kecerdasan emosi antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Selain itu, sejak kecil, laki-laki dan perempuan memiliki beberapa perbedaan seperti perbedaan ekspresi emosi, verbal, empati, dan lain-lain. Masa perkuliahan, terutama pada semester akhir merupaka gerbang menuju kehidupan yang sebenarnya. Pada usia ini, tugas perkembangan mahasiswa adalah membina hubungan atau relasi. Namun, perbedaan antara laki- laki dan perempuan sejak kecil tersebut membangun harapan-harapan yang berbeda di dalam masyarakat. Akibatnya, pada usia perkuliahan, laki-laki dan perempuan telah terbentuk sesuai dengan harapan-harapan tersebut. Perbedaan yang terbangun antara lain perbedaan kemampuan berkomunikasi, pengungkapan emosi, dan empati. Lebih lanjut, peneliti ingin mengetahui apakah ada perbedaan kecerdasan emosional antara laki-laki dan perempuan. Penelitian ini berjudul Perbedaan Kecerdasan Emosional antara Mahasiswa Laki-laki dan Mahasiswa Perempuan Angkatan 2011 di Universitas X. Pendekatan penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis komparatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah perbedaan kecerdasan emosional antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan mahasiswa perempuan angkatan 2011 di Universitas X. Hipotesis dalam penelitian ini ialah ada perbedaan kecerdasan emosional antara mahasiswa laki- laki dan mahasiswa perempuan angkatan 2011 di Universitas X. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan Independent Sample T-test untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya perbedaan kecerdasan emosional antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan mahasiswa perempuan angkatan 2011 di Universitas X. Hasil perhitungan T-test nilai p-value yaitu 0,000 di bawah 0,005. Dapat disimpulkan hasil penelitian ini ada perbedaan kecerdasan emosional antara mahasiswa laki-laki dan mahasiswa perempuan angkatan 2011 di Universitas X. | en_US |
