| dc.description | Hyperglycemic condition in Diabetes Melitus (DM) patients can lead to the formation of AGEs which induce inflammatory process. Noni fruit (Morinda citrifolia) contains antioxidant compounds that can lower blood glucose levels. This study aims to determine the ef ect and ef ective dose of noni fruit extract (Morinda citrifolia) on Interferon Gamma (IFN-γ) levels in hyperglycemic white rats (Rattus norvegicus). This type of research is true experimental using posttest-only control group design method. The research sample will be divided randomly using probability sampling. The research group consisted of the K+ group (a group of white rats with hyperglycemic conditions that were not given noni extract) and the treatment groups P1, P2 and P3 (a group of white rats with hyperglycemia conditions that were given noni extract with doses of 24, 50, and 75 mg/100grBW, respectively). The treatment was carried out for 14 days and then samples were taken to determine the IFN-γ levels using the ELISA technique. The results of the research data analysis used the One Way ANOVA test. The results showed that the administration of noni extract caused a decrease in IFN-γ in hyperglycemic white rats but not significant (p > 0.05). | dc.description.abstract | Kondisi hiperglikemia pada pasien Diabetes Melitus (DM) dapat mengakibatkan terbentuknya AGEs yang menginduksi proses peradangan. Buah mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia) mengandung senyawa antioksidan yang dapat menurunkan kadar glukosa darah. Penelitian ini bertujuan unuk mengetahui efek dan dosis efektif pemberian ekstrak buah mengkudu (Morinda citrifolia) terhadap kadar Interferon Gamma (IFN-γ) pada tikus putih (Rattus norvegicus) kondisi hiperglikemia. Penelitian bersifat True experimental dengan metode posttest-only control group design. Sampel penelitian akan dibagi secara acak menggunakan probability sampling. Kelompok penelitian terdiri dari kelompok K+ (kelompok tikus putih kondisi hiperglikemia yang tidak diberi ekstrak mengkudu) dan kelompok perlakuan P1, P2 dan P3 (kelompok tikus putih kondisi hiperglikemia yang diberi ekstrak mengkudu dengan dosis masing-masing 24, 50, dan 75 mg/100grBB). Perlakuan dilakukan selama 14 hari dan selanjutnya sampel diambil untuk menentukan kadar IFN-γ menggunakan teknik ELISA. Hasil analisis data penelitian menggunakan uji One Way ANOVA. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pemberian ekstrak mengkudu menyebabkan penurunan kadar IFN-γ pada tikus putih kondisi hiperglikemia tetapi tidak signifikan (p > 0.05). Ekstrak buah mengkudu dosis 75 mg/ 100grBB memberikan perubahan kadar IFN-γ yang signifikan pada tikus putih kondisi hiperglikemia. | en_US |
