Abstract

ANALYSIS AND DEVELOPMENT ACCOUNTING INFORMATION SYSTEM OF BALI JAYA STORE

Accounting information system is a sub-system of an information system in the company relating to the financial aspects. Which is all of operational business process that affecting financial such as expenditure and income need to have a clear flow for further development. Bali Jaya Store has implemented accounting information system software / program as a tools for them to control finance of a operational activity, however the company itself doesn’t have any documentation of their clear business process flow, standard operation procedures, and job description which help raise further problem in the company. This study aims to measure the effectiveness and efficiency of the system improvement recommendations. Based on problem that identified, one of the solution given is to use TeamViewer and Dropbox. The type of research is a qualitative. Stages of research start from preliminary studies, system design, and implementation. Data collection methods are interviews and observation. The respondents of this research are employees of the store which associated with revenue and expenditure cycle. The result showed that the recommended system provides efficient impact in changing procedures, training new employees, creating sales order, and information about the damaged goods. It also effective because the error rate in sales order is reduced, controlled debt collection process, and supervisors can easily perform data checking.
