dc.descriptionThis research was conducted to determine the effect of academic self-efficacy and parental support on achievement motivation in students in Surabaya. There are 3 hypotheses in this study, which want to see academic self-efficacy and parental support have an influence on achievement motivation in students in Surabaya on the major hypothesis, and see academic self-efficacy and parental support separately on each minor hypothesis. The subjects in this study were 154 active students from various universities in Surabaya. The researcher used a convenience sampling technique in collecting data. Data were collected using the Achievement Motivation Scale-Revised (Lang, 2006), The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (Zimet, 1988), and the Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (Sachitra, 2017). These three scales are translated into Indonesian. This research uses multiple regression analysis and a simple regression test. This study uses a quantitative method with a correlational design. The results of the research regression test show that the major hypothesis is accepted (F = 8.703 ; p<0.001) a significant effect of 10.5% (R2 = 0.105), minor hypothesis 1 is accepted that academic self-efficacy has a significant influence on student achievement motivation in Surabaya ( t = 4.054 ; p<0.001) significant effect of 10.5% (R2 = 0.105), while the minor hypothesis 2 is rejected that parental support does not have a significant effect on student achievement motivation in Surabaya (t = 0.071 ; p = 0.944)en_US
dc.description.abstractPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh academic self-efficacy dan dukungan orangtua terhadap motivasi berprestasi pada mahasiswa di Surabaya. Terdapat 3 hipotesis dalam penelitian ini, yang dimana ingin melihat academic self-efficacy dan dukungan orang tua memberikan pengaruh terhadap motivasi berprestasi pada mahasiswa di Surabaya pada hipotesis mayor, dan melihat academic self-efficacy dan dukungan orang tua secara terpisah pada masing-masing hipotesis minor. Subjek pada penelitian ini sebanyak 154 mahasiswa aktif dari berbagai universitas di Surabaya. Peneliti menggunakan teknik convenience sampling dalam mengumpulkan data. Pengambilan data menggunakan skala Achievement Motivation Scale Revised (Lang, 2006), The Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (Zimet, 1988), dan .Academic Self-Efficacy Scale (Sachitra, 2017). Ketiga skala ini diterjemahkan ke dalam Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis uji regresi berganda dan uji regresi sederhana. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional. Hasil uji regresi penelitian menunjukan bahwa hipotesis mayor di terima (F = 8.703 ; p<0.001) pengaruh signifikan sebesar 10.5% (R2 = 0.105), hipotesis minor 1 diterima bahwa academic self-efficacy memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan kepada motivasi berprestasi mahasiswa di Surabaya (t = 4.054 ; p<0.001) pengaruh signifikan sebesar 10.5% (R2 =0.105), sedangkan hipotesis minor 2 ditolak bahwa dukungan orang tua tidak memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap motivasi berprestasi pada mahasiswa di Surabaya (t = 0.071 ; p= 0.944)en_US
