dc.description | The rapid growth of startup companies in Indonesia provides new area in leader member exchange research, the lack of qualitative study in this field makes this area interesting to study. This study aims to determine the description of leader member exchange in startup companies. This research uses qualitative case study method. The data was obtained through in-depth interviews with participants that were selected using purposive sampling technique. The analysis technique used is thematic analysis by identifying patterns which are then categorized and coded. This study found that the relationship begins with a formal interaction which then develops into an informal relationship, in this relationship an exchange of benefits occurs which is dominated by the exchange of non-material benefits, the form of this relationship is social leader member exchange. This study suggests that it is important for company owners to maintain and facilitate superior-employee relationships to improve company success. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Pesatnya pertumbuhan perusahaan startup di Indonesia memberikan area baru dalam penelitian leader member exchange, minimnya penelitian di bidang ini dengan metode penelitian kualitatif menjadikan area ini menarik dikaji. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran leader member exchange di perusahaan startup. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara mendalam dengan partisipan yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis tematik dengan mengidentifikasi pola yang kemudian dikategorikan dan dikoding. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa proses terbentuknya relasi diawali dengan interaksi formal yang kemudian berkembang menjadi relasi informal, di dalam relasi ini terjadi pertukaran manfaat yang didominasi oleh pertukaran manfaat non-material, bentuk dari relasi ini adalah social leader member exchange. Dari hasil penelitian ini, penting bagi pemilik perusahaan untuk menjaga dan memfasilitasi hubungan atasan dan karyawan untuk meningkatkan kesuksesan perusahaan. | en_US |
