| dc.description | The aim of this final project is to create a design of a commercial space that is in
line with the branding application of an office space in Surabaya. The site of this
final project is located in Mayjend Sungkono Street in Surabaya, namely Skyline
Tower. The designed area is 938,93 m
2
that covers the main lobby of the Skyline
Tower that is located on the ground floor and the lobby of Harris hotel on the first
floor. This project employed a qualitative method for collecting the data, both
primary and secondary. Informal interview is included as the primary data and
literature studies are the secondary one. This method was selected in order to
determine the development of the International style and the Pop Art style in
Indonesia, particularly in Surabaya, and these styles were applied in both sites. In
terms of the design, the Skyline Tower is a prominent office space that was
specifically designed to fulfill the demand of a specific market. The lobby of
Harris Hotel was dominated with International style with a touch of Pop Art style
to suit the character of the hotel itself. The combination of the designated styles
must comply both corporate branding identities. Moreover, the styles, which were
applied on the designed space, were also required to accommodate the variety of

| dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan agar desain gambar dapat membantu meningkatkan
kualitas dan penjualan jasa yang ditawarkan dalam Skyline Tower Surabaya
melalui desain lobinya. Total luas area lobi adalah 938,93 m

, dengan posisi
gedung pada Jalan Mayjend, Surabaya Barat. Metode pengumpulan data yang
dilakukan adalah studi literatur yang menggunakan sumber yang bervariasi seperti
buku, majalah, internet serta interview. Hal ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui
perkembangan gaya International Style dan Pop Art yang dapat diaplikasikan di
Indonesia. Secara umum, konsep lobi Skyline adalah sebuah tempat yang
bergengsi (prestige), sehingga desain yang diaplikasikan sesuai dengan
segmentasi pasar. Pada lobi gedung yang diperuntukan sebagai lobi hotel Harris,
International Style diberi esensi Pop Art untuk menjaga branding hotel yang lebih
kasual. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari penelitian ini adalah menerapkan
konsep desain prestigious dengan gaya International Style pada lobi Skyline, dan
tambahan gaya popart pada lobi hotelnya dengan memperhatikan space sebagai
