dc.descriptionStress can happen to anyone, anywhere, and anytime, including tostudents. Prolonged stress may lead to depressionevensuicide. People who arestressed can have a variety of stress responses,such asbehavioral, physiological,and psychologicalresponses.Stress is sourced from academic problems, such asthe difficulty level of assignments, deadline of assignments, and other sources.Entrepreneurship is one of the courses in the X study program. Because ofthe course assignments, students who enroll this course may feel that they are notable to complete the assignments as asked. There is an assumption that studentswho tend to feel that they are able to complete the assignments will have lowerstress level, while the students who feel that theyare not able to complete theassignments will have higher stress level. De Noble (1999) has stated that self-efficacy is a person’s confidence of his ability to perform a specific task.The purpose of conducting this study was to determine the relationshipbetweenentrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE)and stress of the X departmentstudents atUniversityY.The independent variable in this studywasan entrepreneurial self-efficacy(ESE), while the dependent variablewasstress.Instruments used to measurethedata in this study wereESE measurement toolas developed by De Noble et al(1999), which was a set ofmodified questionnaire.Stress measurement tool usedto measure the data related with stressis the stress theory of Beehr and Newman(1999), as well as the adaptation of the measuring instrument of StudentAcademic Stress Scaleas inBusari (2011).There was no discardeditems fallinESEinstrument, while therewas onlyonediscardediteminstressinstrument.Method of sampling technique in the studywas purposive sampling, with the totalnumber of112 students majoring in Xstudy program.After being computed, theCronbach Alphawas0.9504 (for ESE) and 0.9543(for stress instrument).The result of the studyshowed that in general therewasa negativerelationshipbetween ESE andstress.Corelation testof ESEuponstress wasrho=-0.22;p < 0.05.Of all six aspects of ESE, four of them negatively correlated withstress. The four aspects were building an innovative environment, initiatinginvestorrelationship, defining core purpose, and coping with unexpectedchallenges.en_US
dc.description.abstractStres dapat terjadi kepada siapa saja, dimana saja,dan kapan saja. Tidakjarang stres jugaterjadi pada mahasiswa. Stres yang berkepanjangan dapatmemicu munculnya depresi, hingga bunuh diri. Orang yang mengalami stres dapatmemiliki respon stres yang beragam, baik dari perilaku, fisiologis, dan psikologis.Sumber stres pada mahasiswa yang berasal dari hal akademis, misalnya bobottugas, batas waktu pengumpulan tugas, dan lainnya.PadajurusanX, terdapat mata kuliahyang berhubungan denganentrepreneurship.Daritugas-tugastersebut,munculperasaan tidak yakin bahwamahasiswa mampu melakukantugasnya.Individu yang merasa mampudidugamemilikikecenderunganstres yang lebih rendah,sedangkan individu yang merasatidak mampudidugamemiliki kecenderunganstresyang lebih tinggi. Menurut DeNoble (1999),self-efficacyadalah keyakinan seseorang akan kemampuannyauntukmelakukan suatu tugas tertentu yang bersifat spesifik.Tujuan penelitian iniuntuk mengetahuihubungan antaraentrepreneurialself-efficacy(ESE) denganstresmahasiswajurusan Xdi Universitas Y.Variabel bebas dalam penelitianini adalahentrepreneurial self-efficacy(ESE), sedangkan variabel tergantung adalahstres.Alat ukurESEyang digunakanadalahmodifikasiangketDe Nobleet al(1999).Alat ukur stres yang digunakanadalahteori stres dari Beehr dan Newman (1999), sertaadaptasidarialat ukurStudent Academic Stress Scaledari Busari (2011).Tidak adaitemgugur pada alatukur ESE, sedangkan ada satuitemgugur pada alat ukur stres.Metodepengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalahpurposive sampling.Sampelpenelitianini sebanyak 112mahasiswa jurusan X.Cronbach Alpha pada alat ukurESE 0.9504 dan 0.9543 pada alat ukur stres.Hasilmenunjukkanbahwa secara umumterdapathubungan negatifESEdengan stres.Nilai korelasi antaraESEdan stres adalahrho=-0.22 ; p <0.05.Ujihubungan tiap aspek ESE dan stres menunjukkan,empatdari enam aspekmemiliki korelasinegatifdenganstres, yakni aspekbuilding an innovativeenvironment,initiating investor relationship,defining core purposedancopingwith unexpected challenges.en_US
