| dc.description | Year-to-year more and more couples are not satisfied with their marriage.Research conducted by Roger and Amato (in Oscharoff, 2011) found that maritalsatisfaction decreases because the conflict among them increased. Conflictincrease because work-family conflict and roles of gender has become moreblurred. Other research that conducted by Olson (2009) to 15.000 marriedcouples found that 65% couples are not satisfiedwith their marriage. The highnumber of marriage dissatisfaction is caused by many factors, one of them iswork-family conflict. Work-family conflict has become a serious problem as moreand more dual-earner marriage couples. That led to the hight number of disputes.Dissatisfaction caused by work-family conflict can be reduced by having a goodwork-family conflict self-efficacy. Bandura in his theory said that self-efficacy caninfluence the behavior of individuals so they have resilience to face theirproblems. The objective of this study is the researcher wanted to know whetherwork-family conflict self-efficacy can be moderate variable between therelationship of work-family conflict and marital satisfaction. The research resultcan be a solution for couples who experience work-family conflict and maritalsatisfaction problems.Thisquantitative study has 62 participants. All of them are workingmothers who have full-time working hours, live with their husband, have childrenwho are still economicallydependent. Sampling technique used is purposivesampling. Scales used in this study are: ENRICH Marital Scale (Fowers & Olson,1993), WFC Scale (Netemeyer et.al, 2003) and WFC-SE Scale (Cinnamon inHennessy, 2005). Result obtained in this study is work-family conflict has anegative correlation with marital satisfaction (rho=0.413;p<0.05). The secondresult obtained in this study is work-family conflict self-efficacy can not bemoderate variable between the relationship of work-family conflict and maritalsatisfaction (R2=0.2974). Work-family conflict self-efficacy is more suitable tobecome independent variabel than moderate variable. Benefits of this study ismake people to pay attention to the problem of marital satisfaction and helpworking mothers improve work-family conflict self-efficacy to face work-familyconflict. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Pasangan yang tidak puas dengan pernikahan mereka semakin banyak daritahun ke tahun. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Roger dan Amato (dalamOscharoff, 2011) ditemukan bahwa kepuasan pernikahan dari tahun ke tahunsemakin mengalami penurunankarena perselisihan semakin tinggi. Tingginyaperselisihan disebabkan karena peran gender yang semakin kabur dan juga karenawork-family conflict.Dari penelitianlainnyayang dilakukan oleh Olson (2009)kepada 15.000 pasangan menikah, didapati bahwa 65%pasangan tidak puasdengan pernikahan mereka. Tingginya angka ketidakpuasan pernikahan inidikarenakan karena banyak faktor dan salah satunya adalahwork-family conflict.Work-family conflictsudah menjadi masalah yang cukup serius karenapasangandual-earner marriagesemakin meningkat dari tahun ke tahun dan hal itumenyebabkan tingginya perselisihan. Masalah mengenai kepuasan pernikahanyang ditimbulkan olehwork-family conflictini dapat dikurangi dengan memilikiwork-family conflict self-efficacyyang baik. Bandura dalam teorinya menyatakanbahwaself-efficacydapat mempengaruhi perilaku individu sehingga merekamemiliki ketahanan dan kehendak untuk menghadapi tugas-tugas sulit.Tujuandari penelitian ini adalahuntuk mengetahuiapakahwork-family conflict self-efficacydapat menjadi variabel moderator terhadap hubunganwork-family conflictdengan kepuasan pernikahan sehingga dapat menjadi solusi bagi pasangan yangmengalami masalahwork-family conflictdan kepuasan pernikahan.Penelitian yang dilakukan ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif. Partisipandalam penelitianberjumlah N=62 orang. Semua subyek adalahpara ibu yangbekerjafull time, tinggal bersama suami, dan memiliki anak yangmasihbergantung ekonomi orangtua.Proses pengambilan sampel adalahpurposivesampling.Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ada 3, yaitu:ENRICHMarital Scale(Fowers & Olson, 1993),WFC Scale(Netemeyer dkk, 2003) danWFC-SE Scale(Cinnamon dalan Hennessy, 2005). Hasil yang didapatkan daripenelitian ini adalahwork-family conflictmemiliki hubungan negatif dengankepuasan pernikahan (rho=0.413; p<0.05). Hasil kedua yang didapatkan adalahvariabelwork-family conflict self-efficacytidak dapat menjadi variabel moderatorterhadap hubunganwork-familyconflictdan kepuasan pernikahan (R2=0.2974).Variabelwork-family conflict self-efficacylebih sesuai dijadikan variabelindependen dibandingkan sebagai variabel moderator. Manfaat penelitian iniadalahdapat menjadi masukan agarmasyarakat mulai memperhatikan masalahmengenai kepuasan pernikahan dan mulai berusaha untuk membantu para ibubekerja meningkatkanwork-family conflict self-efficacymereka dalammenghadapiwork-family conflict. | en_US |
