| dc.description | Subjective well being (SWB) is one of important thing in human’s life. People which have a good SWB may have a higher productivity, good health and a good social relationship. SWB talks about individual’s evaluation of their experience including theirs satisfaction and theirs feeling. Human evaluating their experience in two way, first by seeing the full picture of the experience. Second, by evaluating it from each domain of life. For adult, work domain take most of the time each day. That is why situation at work might effect their evaluation.Evaluation at working situation called organizational climate. The aim of this paper is to investigate the correlation between organizational climate with subjective well being employee. This study utilized quantitave approach with correlational design. The study was conducted among the employee of X company. Total number of the subject was 63 employees by using population cluster sampling technique. Data collection tools were organizational climate scale which was adapted from Litwin and Stringer Organizational Climate Questionare and subjective well being scale which were adapted from Satisfaction with Life Scale and Scale of Positive and Negative Experience. Result showed that there was a positive correlation between organizational climate with subjective well being among X company’s employee (r = 0.623, p = 0.000; r = 0.434, p = 0.000). Finding showed that employee who work in a good organization climate have a good subjective well being. Finding also show that gender, age, income, status and education were believed to have a correlation with SWB on employee. Suggestion for employees are to have a commitment and love for their work, try to get involved actively in relation also set a goal in working. Researcher’s suggestion for leader in X company are to learn more about leadership which might help them developing their employees. At the end, researcher also suggest X company to give support and opportunity for employees to improve their development. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Subjective well being (SWB) adalah hal penting yang ingin dicapai dalam kehidupan manusia. Individu dengan SWB yang baik memiliki produktivitas, kesehatan dan relasi sosial yang lebih baik. SWB merupakan evaluasi kepuasan dan afeksi individu terhadap pengalaman hidup mereka baik secara keseluruhan maupun melalui setiap domain kehidupan. Bagi manusia dewasa, domain kehidupan merupakan domain yang memakan waktu paling banyak dalam keseharian mereka. Oleh karena itulah, domain pekerjaan dirasa dapat mempengaruhi evaluasi mereka. Evaluasi oleh individu dalam konteks kerja disebut iklim organisasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara iklim organisasi dengan subjective well being karyawan Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantita ti f dengan desain korelasional. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 63 orang yang bekerja di perusahaan X. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah cluster sampling . Alat ukur iklim organisasi yang digunakan merupakan skala adaptasi dari Litwin and Stringer Organizational Climate Questionare (LSOCQ). Sedangkan skala subjective well being merupakan skala yang diadaptasi dari Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) dan Scale of Positive and Negative Experience (SPANE). Hasil menunjukan bahwa ada korelasi positif antara iklim organisasi dengan SWB pada karyawan di perusahaan X ( r = 0.623, p = 0.000; r = 0.434, p = 0.000). Penemuan ini menunjukan bahwa iklim organisasi di tempat kerja yang baik membuat karyawan memiliki SWB yang tinggi. Begitu juga sebaliknya, semakin buruk iklim organisasi maka semakin rendah SWB yang dimiliki karyawan. Selain itu, berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian faktor seperti jenis kelamin, usia, pendapatan, status dan pendidikan diduga memiliki korelasi dengan SWB karyawan. Berdasarkan dari hasil penelitian, peneliti menyarankan kepada para karyawan untuk memiliki tujuan dalam bekerja, membangun relasi yang baik dengan terlibat aktif dalam organisasi dan memiliki komitmen serta rasa cinta terhadap pekerjaan. Bagi pimpinan perusahaan x, peneliti menyarankan agar para pimpinan belajar untuk semakin mengenal anak buah mereka dan memahami gaya-gaya kepemimpinan agar dapat memberikan perlakuan yang tepat bagi setiap individu bawahannya. Sementara itu bagi perusahaan X, peneliti menyarankan agar perusahaan terus memprasaranai kebutuhan perkembangan karyawan. | en_US |
