| dc.description.abstract | Diversity is one thing that reflects the beauty of Indonesian Archipelago. Although Indonesia is very rich in traditions and cultures, yet not every one of them had the chance to be explored. And one aspect that reflects culture and ethnics in Indonesia is Indonesian folklore. The stories has been told from time to time, from generation to generation, but nowadays most of them were already forgotten by the younger generation, most likely by the millennials. To reach the purpose of introducing the folklore to the millennials, some methods could be used, such as infusing the folklore into fashion products. By using contemporary illustration to translate the folklore into more fashionable adaptation, it would be easier to be digested by the millennials then piqued their interest on Indonesian folklore. The purpose of this paper is to explore the effects of contemporary illustrations that are embedded into fashion products by using observation and inductive approach in qualitative research methods. And eventually it would reach its goal to introducing the folklore to the millennial generation. | en_US |
