dc.description.abstractThis research was motivated by a phenomenon of a family business to survive across generations, especially in the process of succession to the next generation. Delegates is one of the factors included in the succession process. The researcher wanted to know how to delegate roles in the process of succession in the Family Business in Indonesia in order to determine the role of delegates in the process of succession in the family business. Thus, the family business practitioners could overcome the problems that occur. This type of research is a qualitative study with the object of family business and the three research subjects, namely the senior generation, the generation of junior and experts. Determination of research subjects is done using purposive sampling. The method of analysis in this study uses field analysis. The results of this study indicate that the role of delegates is in building trust, value and need for knowledge transfer as a cornerstone in the planning stages that will have an impact on the success of the succession.en_US
