According to the literature the quality management consists of a series of critical components that have a purpose. The purpose of this study is to look at the impact of the "Soft" TQM aspects of the business performance of startups. To make them better understood by the owners of startups, construction models were made to show the situation of 71 startups in Surabaya regarding these elements. To achieve this goal, a literature review and survey were conducted on 71 startups in two categories: technology and non-technology. The results of this study reflect that start-up companies must consider factual approaches such as considering the quality of suppliers and the processes in them. The next finding was that startups began to consider the needs of consumers rather than just an innovative dynamic solution that became the goal. This research shows the elements in the "Soft" aspects of TQM that are important to be maintained and made continuous improvements in startups so that they have a competitive advantage.en_US
