dc.description.abstractThe progress of learning process changes in many ways. Evidence shows that mind mapping can facilitate the various learning processes. It can be an attractive approach and thought. It enhances learners’ ways of learning. Mind mapping can be helpful for learners’ academic success, especially in enhancing their reading performances. First of all, the learners are introduced what mind mapping is, how mind mapping is made, and its use in reading. Mind mapping enables the learners to organize their ideas and obtain them as retention information. Learners are taught to summarize a reading text using mind mapping; in addition, it helps them to comprehend the message that they have got from the reading text. Therefore, firstly, this article will briefly describe about the foundation of mind mapping, the laws of mind mapping, and its usage in the teaching and learning of reading. Having these values, mind mapping can help learners of English in developing and improving their reading skill.en_US
