FENOMENA GLOBALISASI DAN TANTANGAN MENANAMKAN BUDAYA LOKAL UNTUK MEMBANGKITKAN RASA KEBANGSAAN PADA MASYARAKAT MODERN

Abstract

Globalization and modernization are inevitable for every citizen in the world. The state always wants to be called a modern state, following the flow of globalization if it wants to be said to be a developed country. The research method uses the indirect observation method by examining the research and preliminary data. Based on research it was found that the phenomenon of globalization if not addressed properly would erode local cultural values and be contaminated with foreign cultures that enter profusely. Therefore it is necessary to conduct research on the importance of local culture in the era of globalization. Local culture is one of the weapons to defend the country in the era of globalization. Every culture is who we are and what shapes our identity. There is no development that can remain sustainable without maintaining culture. Providing local cultural education is very important so that a sense of nationality and love for the homeland continues to be embedded in the younger generation. Providing local cultural values is one way for young people to become civilized, cultured, respectful of diversity, have the dignity of Indonesia.
