dc.description.abstractCharacter education and moral values must be taught from children. One of the media that can be used to teach it is through stories, especially folklore. Children’s story books based on folklore are one of the important aids in helping parents guide children at an early age. In the early days, a child’s development lies more in the ability and awareness of parents in providing guidance one of them in the form of reading stories. Based on this, it is necessary to research how the characteristics of children’s story books based on folklore that are easy to remember or memorable so that they can build children’s character. The study uses qualitative data collection methods conducted by literature study and interviews with children and mothers and supported by observations. The data is processed using the thematic analysis method to find the main pin expected from a children’s book so it is memorable.en_US
