dc.description.abstractAnimation is not only a from entertaiment, but it can also be an affective aducational tool, especially for children. This research focuses on exploring the affectiveness of using animation to teach historical stories to childen between the ages of 3 and 5. The specific animation discused in this study is titled "Pertempuran Kota Pahlawan" which in translated as "Battle of City of Heroes" and it revolves around a historical event that took place on November 10, 1945, in Surabaya, Indonesia. The animation utulizes bright colors and cute character designs to keep the children engaged and interested throughout. The research involved a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and observation of childen between the ages of 2 and 5. The children thoroughly enjoyed watching the animation and were able to retell the story and identify the characters. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that animation is a suitable and affective medium for educating young children.en_US
