This article investigates the significance of surface pattern design in the context of sustainable product development, with a particular emphasis on its ability to produce timeless and enduring design solutions. Surface pattern design is the skill of generating patterns and images that may be printed on surfaces such as fabric, wallpaper, and many more; it is also one of the distinguishing characteristics of products. Sustainable product development has become a top priority for designers and manufacturers in an era marked by rapid changes in customer tastes and environmental concerns. Surface pattern design, an important part of product aesthetics, shows great promise for improving product sustainability by infusing them with timeless appeal. Surface pattern designers can contribute to product lifespan, reduce waste, and reduce the environmental impact associated with frequent replacements and disposals by producing patterns that transcend passing trends. This study highlights the long-term impact of surface pattern design and its potential to shape sustainable practicesen_US
