dc.description.abstractThis research aims to analyze the effect of ex-politics board of commissioners and company size on the value of mining firms. The dependent variable in this study is firm value as measured by Tobin's Q. The independent variable in this research is the board of commissioners' political connections presented with a dummy variable. The control variable in this research is company size. This research uses secondary data extracted from financial reports released by politically connected mining companies for the 2019-2021 period. The sample selection in this research used a purposive sampling method with a total of 102 observational data and 71 samples representing the population. The data is processed through the classical assumption test. Stages of data analysis through classical assumption testing for data quality, and multiple linear regression for hypothesis testing According to the research's findings the political connections of the board of commissioners who have a political background have a significant influence.en_US
