This study conducts an intervention in the form of an innovative and interactive game titled Speech Your Colors! to reduce the tendency of social withdrawal in children aged 6-10. The participants for this intervention consisted of 33 second grade students from Sekolah Citra Berkat, Surabaya. This game was conducted for a single session with the duration of 90 minutes with supervision and direct data collection done by the research team and homeroom teacher as a spectator. A one-group posttest design was used which included items from the HQ-25 scale for social withdrawal. Results received from the observation, feedback, and posttest show that participants developed the desire to continuously interact with their peers whereas they tend to avoid social interactions beforehand. In addition, participants report positive feelings towards the intervention process as well as towards their peers. Therefore, it can be concluded that Speech Your Colors! can effectively decrease social withdrawal tendencies in children aged 6-10.en_US
