Indonesia is a producer of natural fiber commodities, with a significant dependence on imports to meet industrial demands. Among these natural commodities, silk f iber is used as a textile material in home appliance products with a high value to meet the functional and lifestyle needs of urban communities. The characteristics of silk fiber indicate that the benefits of products made are not only physical but also have a good impact on skin health. Therefore, this study aimed to identify added value in pillowcase products made from 100% mulberry silk through descriptive method, including interview research, observation, and literature study. The results indicated that silk fiber in pillowcase served as a solution for the pains and gains of urban communities, with the potential for the development of silkworm farms due to the continuous rise in demand.en_US
