Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) has been proven able to give positive contribution to Indonesian economic growth and has become one of the pillars of Indonesian’s economy. However, recently there is a concern regarding the weakening of Rupiah towards US Dollar currency affecting Indonesian’s economic instability. Therefore, the existence of growing productive SMEs in Indonesia is definitely necessary to cope with the global economics challenges such as Asean Economic Community (AEC) or Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean (MEA) 2015. Furthermore, the ongoing AEC (MEA 2015) becomes a challenge to Indonesian society especially SMEs (UMKM). As long as the SMEs (UMKM) have entrepreneurial spirit inside the character of each of the owners, there is no need for worrying about economic instability and global challenges to economy. Therefore, it is very important for each person to know and understand about the entrepreneurial spirit since the beginning of SMEs (UMKM) establishment. This study aims to identify how the entrepreneurship culture in Universitas Ciputra environment through the ownership of entrepreneurial spirit in students as business owners can support the sustainability of their business projects with the hope that in the future these business projects become the next SMEs in order to give the positive contributions to globally support Indonesia economic development. Data collected by an in-depth interview method in exploratory qualitative research to some of students’ business projects that potentially become future SMEs (UMKM). The result of this study shows that entrepreneurship culture through seven entrepreneurial spirits in Universitas Ciputra environment is able to develop the sustainability of business projects.
