PENGENDALIAN MANAJEMEN DALAM MENCIPTA INOVASI: STUDI PROSES DAN DAMPAK PADA ENTREPRENEURIAL ORGANIZATION

Abstract

Inovation is an important aspect in business in order for company to have competitive advantage. Innovation also plays important role for higher education in a competitive arena. One of the most problem for higher education is how to create innovation. Several researches show that management control is a tool for strategy formulating and at the same time implementing. Innovation is a strategy for organization. Therefore management control is a tool to create innovation. The purpose of this research is presenting how management control play the important role in innovation process. Qualitative approach is used in this research with single case study in accounting department at entrepreneurial university. Several methods were used to collect data such as interview, observation, and documentation. The result shows that the combination of management control is able to create innovation. Several issues emerge such as organization context, organization purpose, behavior, and other aspects regarding the implementation of management control mechanisms. This research also examines the process of innovation, and innovation impact on students and lecturers.
