THE FACTORS AFFECTING DISTRIBUTORS PURCHASING DECISION FOR CHARCOAL COMMODITIES
Abstract
The background of this research is based on the author’s entrepreneurial business experience in Indosub Trading a commodity trading business. Indosub Trading was established in 2016 with the main products being distributed was charcoal and briquette. After several months executing the business Indosub Trading identified some issues in finding the right suppliers to support the business. The management attempted to find the right suppliers that could really fulfill the needs of both company and end customers, and the researcher aimed to look for the factors affecting distributor purchasing decision in charcoal commodities.
The sample in this research are some local charcoal distributors who lives in Indonesia which have done at least one transaction. The research data was collected by distributing online questionnaires using likert scale to 50 respondents. After the data was collected, it was processed by using multiple linear regression models with SPSS. The research results show that none of the variables have a significant effect towards the purchasing decision of charcoal distributors.
