    Abstract
From 2012 to 2017 the world of construction has increased dramatically in Indonesia, construction projects need to be done effectively and efficiently to avoid unnecessary addition in cost and time. This study aims to find out how effective and efficient the CPM and PERT methods are when applied to the Malang City Hospital Rehabilitation Project undertaken by PT. Pilar Kuat Tekan. The object of this research is the rehabilitation project of Malang City Hospital. The data collection in this study comes from internal data of the Malang city rehabilitation project from PT.Pilar Kuat Tekan. This research was conducted using two methods, CPM and PERT, both of these methods use a critical path to analyze a project. CPM method is done by analyzing the floating time of each project activity to find out the level of tolerance in each activity. The PERT method is performed by determining three time points, the intended time points are the most frequent time, optimistic time, and pessimistic time. The three time points are analyzed to find the expected time of each activity, which in turn has a large probability of determining the completion of the project against the expected time. The results of this study state that the CPM method of the project can reduce project time from the initial 120 days to 90 days with an addition to cost that was initially IDR 762,303,708 to IDR 915,657,435. In the PERT method there were no significant results because the acceleration results obtained were 120 days with a probability of success of 98.78%.
