cookies, especially Old-fashioned Choco-chip Cookies. The business has good
potential since most of Surabaya people like to consume snacks.
Melvin'O Cookies was established in 2009. It started with basic and simple
cooking tools. The business grows significantly since then. Melvin’O Cookies
upgraded its production using profesional baking tools to meet more customer
demands and to become more efficient. These upgrades made Melvin’O Cookies
profit margin climbed.
Melvin’O Cookies will continue to expand its business by introducing new
taste and improving its distribution methods. The author believes that this

| dc.description.abstract | Melvin'O Cookies merupakan industri rumah tangga yang bergerak di
bidang manufaktur yang memproduksi serta mendistribusikan kue kering,
khususnya Old-fashioned Choco-chip Cookies. Bisnis ini berawal dari melihat
kebiasaan masyarakat Surabaya yang gemar mengkonsumsi makanan kecil.
Bisnis ini telah dijalankan sejak Februari 2009, dimana cookies ini
diproduksi di rumah tempat tinggal pemilik. Pada mulanya, peralatan yang
digunakan hanya peralatan sederhana. Seiring dengan bertambahnya peminat dan
penghasilan yang meningkat, maka peralatan yang digunakan semakin diperbarui
sehingga produksi juga dapat semakin meningkat.
Upaya ekspansi akan terus menerus dilakukan, baik dari jenis rasa cookies
maupun metode distribusinya. Saat ini pelanggan Melvin'O Cookies terus
bertambah dari waktu ke waktu. Penulis yakin memiliki peluang yang sangat
besar di bidang bisnis ini, apalagi ditambah dengan estimasi perhitungan yang
