| dc.description | Senja Studio is a company that was founded in 2021 and is engaged in visual design services. This company is based in Surabaya, and is still included in the type of individual business. One of the target markets of Senja Studio is SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises). Examples of small SMEs are washing businesses, small restaurants, motorcycle repair shops, catering, photocopying businesses, and so on. During its active period, Senja Studio has made various efforts to increase brand awareness. Such as uploading work or portfolios on social media, celebrating big days with design posts on Instagram Stories, and holding free projects as introduction media. However, this is still not successful in sensitizing the public about the services of Senja Studio. Therefore, a solution to an existing environmental problem is designed. One of them is the number of SMEs who have not realized the importance of branding for the progress of their business. This is what causes not a few of them to be hampered in developing. Meanwhile, SMEs themselves play an important role in Indonesia's economic progress. Small-scale businesses in Indonesia account for about 99% of other businesses, concluding that almost all businesses in Indonesia (Sarifah, Atmaja, and Verawati, 2019). Therefore, to increase public awareness about the importance of branding for progress and sales, an educational book was designed that aims to teach about branding. Also designing promotional strategies of the book. This product design research was conducted using data collection methods in the form of interviews, focus group discussions, and literature studies which will become a reference for improving the development of the Brand Yourself! book product. With this book, SMEs and startups can realize that branding is very important for their business in this fast-paced era. Through the results of research and trials, it is evident that the books designed have been judged to have a good appearance and are able to make the general public aware of the importance of branding for the progress of their businesses. In addition, the content and activities offered are of very good quality and are considered to be a unique breakthrough in the visual communication process. Finally, it can be said that the product design of the Brand Yourself! along with its promotional media can make the public aware of the services or products of Senja Studio. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Senja Studio adalah perusahaan yang berdiri sejak tahun 2021 dan bergerak di bidang jasa visual. Perusahaan ini berbasis di Kota Surabaya, dan masih termasuk dalam jenis usaha perseorangan. Salah satu target market dari Senja Studio adalah UKM (Usaha Kecil Menengah). Contoh UKM kecil adalah usaha binatu, restoran kecil, bengkel motor, katering, usaha fotokopi, dan sebagainya. Selama masa aktifnya, Senja Studio telah melakukan berbagai upaya dalam meningkatkan brand awareness. Seperti mengunggah hasil kerja atau portofolio di media sosial, ikut serta merayakan hari-hari besar dengan menyumbang desain di Instagram Story, serta mengadakan free project sebagai media perkenalan. Namun hal tersebut masih kurang berhasil dalam menyadarkan masyarakat tentang jasa dari Senja Studio. Maka dari itu, dirancanglah sebuah solusi dari permasalahan lingkungan yang ada. Salah satunya adalah banyaknya UKM yang belum menyadari pentingnya branding bagi kemajuan usaha mereka. Hal inilah yang menyebabkan tidak sedikit dari mereka yang terhambat dalam berkembang. Sedangkan, UKM sendiri berperan penting terhadap kemajuan ekonomi Indonesia. Usaha skala kecil di Indonesia menempati kuota sekitar 99% dari usaha lainnya, menyimpulkan bahwa hampir seluruh usaha di Indonesia berskala kecil (Sarifah, Atmaja, dan Verawati, 2019). Maka dari itu, untuk meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya branding bagi kemajuan dan penjualan usahanya, dirancang sebuah buku edukasi yang bertujuan untuk mengajarkan tentang branding. Dirancang pula strategi promosi dari buku tersebut. Penelitian perancangan produk ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pengumpulan data berupa wawancara, focus group discussion, dan studi literatur yang akan menjadi acuan untuk meningkatkan pengembangan produk buku Brand Yourself!. Dengan buku ini, para pelaku UKM dan startups dapat tersadarkan bahwa branding sangat penting bagi bisnis mereka di perkembangan zaman yang serba cepat. Melalui hasil penelitian dan uji coba, terbukti bahwa buku yang dirancang sudah dinilai memiliki tampilan yang baik serta mampu menyadarkan masyarakat awam akan pentingnya branding bagi kemajuan usaha mereka. Selain itu, konten dan aktivitas isian yang ditawarkan sudah memiliki kualitas yang sangat baik dan dinilai merupakan terobosan yang unik dalam proses komunikasi visual. Akhir kata, dapat disimpulkan bahwa hasil perancangan produk buku Brand Yourself! beserta media promosinya dapat menyadarkan khalayak ramai akan jasa atau produk dari Senja Studio. | en_US |
