THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTEGRATED SYSTEM TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE OF ANTOR
Abstract
THE DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTEGRATED SYSTEM TO IMPROVE THE PERFORMANCE OF ANTOR
ANTOR is a start-up company that offers transportation services using
motorcycles. During the first months of its operations, ANTOR’s performance
was not very progressive, despite the anticipated high demand from its target
market. The reason for this resides in the company’s inability to maximize all of
the resources or departments that it has to serve its existing customers better while
still having the capacity to serve new ones. This is mainly caused by the lack of
clear rules and guidelines for ANTOR’s employees and management to do their
jobs in a good and standardized manner. Thus, the writer aims to create systems
for ANTOR in terms of its Operational and Human Resource aspects, combined
together to become an integrated one.
This research is a qualitative research which uses observation, interviews,
and documentation for data collection methods. Interviewees included came from
ANTOR’s real life customers, employees, and competitors. The writer also uses
data triangulation to test the validity and reliability of the results. The data
collected were analyzed and sorted to create an integrated system for ANTOR at
the end.
Final results of this research showed that ANTOR really needs an overall
system to boost its performance, and so an integrated system is composed to
enable the business to gain more profits and survive in the long term.
