| dc.description | Family business is one of the pillars of the Indonesian economy, where 95% of companies in Indonesia are family businesses. The development of family business also develops the country's economy. This study aims to determine the effect of the application of family constitutions, which is one of the elements of family business governance, on the performance and sustainability of family business companies. This study uses a quantitative approach, using a sample of 163 family business companies from all small and medium-scale business sectors in the East Java region. Data analysis method using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this study are known from the three subsystems in the family constitution, namely ownership, family and business which are independent variables in this study, indicating that the family and business subsystems have a positive and significant influence on performance and sustainability of family business companies, while the subsystem ownership has a positive but not significant effect. The effect of the relationship between performance as an intervening variable on sustainability is positive but not significant. | dc.description.abstract | Family business merupakan salah satu penopang perekonomian Indonesia, di mana 95% perusahaan di Indonesia adalah family business. Berkembangnya family business berkembang pula perekonomian negara. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh penerapan family constitutions yang merupakan salah satu elemen dari tata kelola family business, terhadap kinerja/performance serta keberlanjutan/sustainability perusahaan family business. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan menggunakan 163 sampel perusahaan family business dari semua sektor bisnis skala kecil dan menengah di wilayah Jawa Timur. Metode analisis data dengan menggunakan Partial Least Square (PLS). Hasil penelitian ini diketahui dari ketiga subsistem dalam family constitution, yaitu kepemilikan, keluarga, dan bisnis yang menjadi variabel bebas dalam penelitian ini, menunjukkan bahwa untuk subsistem keluarga dan bisnis memiliki pengaruh positif dan siknifikan terhadap kinerja dan keberlanjutan perusahaan family business, sedangkan subsistem kepemilikan memiliki pengaruh positif namun tidak signifikan. Untuk pengaruh hubungan antara performance sebagai variabel intervening terhadap sustainability adalah positif namun tidak signifikan. | en_US |
