| dc.description | This research aims to determine the most appropriate pricing method for Batoc Craft company. Batoc Craft has not had a systematic pricing method. Selling price is calculated using X method in which the selling price is determined based on mere estimation without any systematic, theoretical method. The purpose of this research is to help Batoc Craft determine their selling price in a more systematical way using the existing theory as a reference.
This research compares three pricing methods, which are Cost-Based Pricing, Value-Based Pricing, and Competitive-Based Pricing. The data for this research are taken from the company’s internal data, obeservation on competitors’ selling price, and interviews with customers and similiar business owners.
Results show that the most appropriate method for Batoc Craft is Competitive-Based Pricing method. The resulting price under Competitive-Based Pricing method is reasonable for implementation, because it considers the costs incurred. This method also brings bigger profit margin to the company. Additionally, Competitive-Based Pricing method is able to provide a higher return than the previous corporate profit while still maintaining a competitive price in the market. The final selling prices obtained as a result of this study are Rp 100,000 for desk lamp, Rp 75,000 for tissue box, and Rp 110,000 for tray set. | en_US |
| dc.description.abstract | Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk dapat mengetahui metode penetapan harga yang tepat pada perusahaan Batoc Craft. Selama ini Batoc Craft masih belum memiliki metode penetapan harga yang sistematis, penetapan harga jual dilakukan degan menggunakan metode X, yaitu penetapan harga jual yang ditentukan hanya berdasarkan persepsi perusahaan tanpa ada perhitungan secara teori. Adanya penelitian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan masukan bagi perusahaan dengan Batoc Craft dengan acuan teori yang ada.
Penelitian ini membandingkan tiga metode penetapan harga yaitu metode penetapan harga cost based pricing, value based pricing, dan competitive based pricing. Data dikumpulkan melalui data internal perusahaan, melakukan observasi harga jual pesaing, dan wawancara dengan konsumen dan pengusaha sejenis.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode penetapan yang paling tepat untuk diterapkan oleh perusahaan Batoc Craft adalah metode Competitive based pricing. Harga yang dihasilkan pada metode Competitive based pricing merupakan harga yang pantas untuk diterapkan setelah mempertimbangkan biaya-biaya yang dikeluarkan, karena dengan menggunakan metode tersebut perusahaan mendapatkan margin keuntungan yang cukup besar. Selain itu metode competitive based pricing mampu memberikan laba yang lebih tinggi daripada laba perusahaan sebelumnya dan tetap mempertahankan harga jual yang kompetitif di pasar. Harga jual akhir yang diperoleh sebagai hasil penelitian ini adalah lampu meja Rp 100.000, kotak tissue Rp 75.000 dan nampan set Rp 110.000. | en_US |
